Last year’s reporting period was April 2, 2006 through
April 20, 2007. During
the overlapping report of April 1, 2007 and April 20,
2007 ($2,131.16) in transactions occurred.
The adjustment on this report is only for the
overlapping transactions. Future Annual
Financial Statements will have the reporting period
of April 1 - March 31 of each year.
This will provide consistent reporting
comparisons. Transactions (income/expense) reports from
all accounts from April 1, 2007 to May 2, 2008 are
available for review.
**CASH:
This is cash received during the 2007 Annual
Meeting and was not deposited into the bank account.
It was used to pay direct expenses.

2007-2008
has been a healthy fiscal year for both the FPSAA
Operating Fund and James Cook Fund.
·
Secretary
Judi Maxwell and Treasurer Tom Linley have streamlined
the banking process using online banking and emailing
deposit receipts.

Income
included almost $3000 in dues!
In comparison to $790 dues in 2005-2006 and $340
dues in 2006-2007, this is monumental increase! Thanks
to Judi Maxwell for her personal effort to reach out to
current, former and potential members. Yeah!!!
·
Expenses
for the meals at the 2007 Annual Meeting were minimized
due to the generous donation of dinner by
The Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Thank you!
·
Larger
expenses than normal included $1,110 for the purchase of
resale merchandise.
Thanks to George Apthorp make making all the
arrangements. These
resale items are available.
Additionally, 18 months of FPSAA website hosting
was paid during this year.
JAMES
A. COOK MEMORIAL FUND
·
Income
included; donations of $2033 from the Poker Run
(reported during last years meeting, but included here
since it is included in the Annual Financial Statement
April 1, 2007 - March 31, 2008); donations of $2,650
from the 2007 Annual Meeting and Auction; and $1,000
donation from the Friends of Topsail Hill State Park;
various other smaller donations came through Judi
Maxwell with dues.

Awards
totaling $3,000 were
presented to three families who lost a spouse.
·
Since
the inception of the James A. Cook Memorial Fund in
1994, $54,300 has been awarded to Florida Parks Service
families in need.
